Job Description:

FeedUp Africa is seeking a Programs & Partnerships Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector, develop grant writing and management skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact the lives of vulnerable populations in Nigeria. This role is a hybrid position, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Development and Implementation:
  • Assist in the design and implementation of food security programs.
  • Collaborate with program managers to support the planning and execution of food security initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating program activities and impact.
  1. Partnership Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with partners to ensure successful collaboration on initiatives.
  1. Communication and Social Media:
  • Manage social media platforms to promote FeedUp Africa’s programs and initiatives.
  • Create engaging content to raise awareness and drive community engagement.
  • Utilize digital and video editing skills to create compelling content for promotional materials.
  • Assist in producing multimedia content for fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  1. Grant Research and Support:
  • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities for FeedUp Africa.
  • Assist in preparing grant proposals and reports.
  1. Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Collect and analyze data related to food security programs to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on data findings.
  1. Administrative Tasks:
  • Perform various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the organization.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, or related field.
  • Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Social media management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Enthusiasm for food security and nonprofit work.
  • Applicants must have access to a laptop.

Job Description:

FeedUp Africa is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of MERL within the nonprofit sector. The intern will assist in designing and implementing MERL frameworks, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to evidence-based decision-making. This role is a hybrid position, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Assist in designing data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze data to assess program effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and visualizations to communicate findings.
  1. MERL Framework Development:
  • Collaborate with MERL specialists to develop and refine program MERL frameworks.
  • Assist in the development of indicators and data collection plans.
  1. Research and Learning:
  • Conduct literature reviews and research to inform program design and improvement.
  • Support the documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
  • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities for FeedUp Africa.
  • Assist in preparing grant proposals and reports.
  1. Program Evaluation:
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of program evaluations and assessments.
  • Assist in conducting baseline and endline assessments.
  1. Capacity Building:
  • Participate in MERL capacity-building activities for program staff and partners.
  • Provide training and guidance on data collection and reporting.
  1. Communication and Social Media:
  • Assist in creating engaging social media content from research findings..
  • Assist in producing multimedia content for fundraising and awareness campaigns.
  1. Administrative Tasks:
  • Perform various administrative tasks to support MERL activities.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, or related field.

Engager les connaissances sur l'indice de sécurité alimentaire et de développement en Afrique.

FeedUp AFRICA est un organisme qui a été créé dans le but d’allier les connaissances par rapport aux indices de sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle, ainsi que leurs impacts sur le développement en Afrique.

Nous avons adopté une approche à deux volets pour atteindre notre objectif, qui inclut ;

(i) renforcer et outiller les agriculteurs et les praticiens avec des connaissances pratiques et les meilleures pratiques ; et,

(ii) déployer des canaux de plaidoyer munis d’informations pour joindre les connaissances requises sur la sécurité et le développement alimentaire en Afrique.
